REDUCING STATE SPENDING
As Your State House Representative, I Will:
Reduce Administrative Bureaucracy Instead of Frontline Services
consolidate overlapping state agencies,
reduce middle-management growth,
merge duplicative administrative offices,
centralize procurement and IT systems,
streamline reporting requirements.
Cap Growth in State Spending
limit annual spending growth to inflation + population growth,
require supermajority approval for spending above the cap,
dedicate surplus revenue to pension debt or tax relief.
Reform Higher Education System Overhead
consolidate administrative offices,
reduce non-instructional overhead,
share services between campuses,
focus funding on workforce-demand programs.
Reduce Reliance on Outside Consultants
require competitive rebidding,
publish consultant spending publicly,
build more in-house expertise where cheaper.
