REDUCING STATE SPENDING

As Your State House Representative, I Will:

  • Reduce Administrative Bureaucracy Instead of Frontline Services

    • consolidate overlapping state agencies,

    • reduce middle-management growth,

    • merge duplicative administrative offices,

    • centralize procurement and IT systems,

    • streamline reporting requirements.

  • Cap Growth in State Spending

    • limit annual spending growth to inflation + population growth,

    • require supermajority approval for spending above the cap,

    • dedicate surplus revenue to pension debt or tax relief.

  • Reform Higher Education System Overhead

    • consolidate administrative offices,

    • reduce non-instructional overhead,

    • share services between campuses,

    • focus funding on workforce-demand programs.

  • Reduce Reliance on Outside Consultants

    • require competitive rebidding,

    • publish consultant spending publicly,

    • build more in-house expertise where cheaper.
